We send our coaches to DC!!

U.S Soccer Foundation hosted its third annual Soccer for Success National Coaches Training, at the JW Marriott and on the White house Ellipse in Washington DC, from July 24th through the 28th. This event was a time for Soccer for Success coaches and program administrators from the east to west coast, to come together and learn the program model and curriculum. Our coaches and staff weekend session was packed, with on field training, keynote speakers and workshops covering topics ranging from nutrition to mentorship.
Our coaches had a blast! Kim Cardoza, is a soccer coach for our program at Markham Elementary school.
Upon her return she shared her excitement and said, “Soccer training was amazing! I learned how to combine soccer and nutrition making it fun and educational. After hearing the speakers, I left feeling more confident as a coach and a mentor. I am looking forward to bringing what I learned back to the Soccer for Success Program.”
AC Portland is committed to our communities for the long haul. Therefore, we understand the importance of consistently equipping our coaches to learn creative ways to empower our youth. We are looking forward to a successful year with our coaches and players!
